Melba Joyce Archer Cantrell Stachowiak Browning, 75 of Paris, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014. Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled graveside services for 1 p.m. on Thursday at Ore City Cemetery in Ore City.
Melba, the daughter of John Wayne Archer and Leola Von Sutherlen Archer, was born June 22, 1938, in Delta County.
During her working years she was a bookkeeper for several major companies.
She was preceded in death by three husbands, Walter Reese Cantrell, John Joseph Stachowiak and Elmer Eugene Browning; her parents, Wayne and Leola Archer; two brothers, Tillman Archer and Billy Wayne Archer; and a sister, Kathryn Archer Songer.
Survivors include three sons; brothers; grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews along with a host of friends.
