Walter taught school for a few years, worked for both Tecumseh and American Chair, and worked as a caregiver for a number of years. Walter loved reading, golfing, bowling and watching sports, especially the Packers, Brewers and Bucks.
He is survived by his brothers, Ralph, Thomas, both of Sheboygan and Roger (Gail) of Edgerton, WI; sisters, Mary Lowe of Sheboygan, Jane (Robert) Lange of Riverview, FL, Nancy (Larry) Wynveen of Shawano, Grace (Richard) Reichardt of Sheboygan, Ann (Sam) Salm of Sheboygan and Imogene Dexhiemer of Kiel; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert "Buddy" and a sister, June Platz.
Funeral services for Walter were held on Thursday, June 2, 2011, at the Lippert-Olson Funeral Home in Sheboygan. The Rev. James Hollister officiated. Interment took place on Friday, June 3, 2011, in Wildwood Cemetery with full Military Honors.
