Charles (twin) was the eighth of nine children born to Howel M. and Amanda Elvira (Gasaway) Mason. He married Helen Margaret Hare about 1913 and they had one daughter: Lucille Katherine.

Mason Rites 1 p.m. Friday

Services for Charles F. Mason will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in the C. C. Mellinger Memorial Funeral Church with the Rev. Clark J. Wood officiating. A Rose Croix service will also be held. State Lodge No. 68, F. and A. M., will officiate at graveside services in the Mountain View Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Martin Heglund, Lee P. Hill, Roy Wager, John F. Hall, Floyd Chapman, and William F. Kerr. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. B. L. Wood, Dr. Joss Reed, Charles Bowerman, Bill Horn, Henry Jewell, Arthur Angrove, George Ambrose, John Traspalis, Dr. B.
