She was born in Scottdale, Nov. 10, 1912, a daughter of the late Grover and Nancy Ulery Geyer. Blanche was Protestant by faith. She had been employed by Dravo Ship Building Co. during World War II and was also a nanny for several years in the Scottdale area.
Blanche is survived by her daughter, Mary Lou Heise, of Delmont; her granddaughter, Susan Stringfellow and her husband, Blane, of Goshen, Ind.; her two great-granddaughters, Lisa Stringfellow and Lori Yoder, both of Goshen, Ind.; her two great-great-granddaughters, Cheyenne Ketcham and Hailey Mutchler, both of Goshen, Ind.; her sister, Ruth Topper, of Pittsburgh; her two brothers, Carl Geyer and his wife, Bobbi, of Connellsville, and Harold Geyer, of Maryland; and a number of nieces and nephews, including Nancy Eiford and her husband, Ron, of Scottdale.
In addition to her parents, Blanche was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Conyets whom she married on Nov.15, 1932; her two brothers, James and Donald Geyer; and her two sisters, Margaret Schwartz and Betty Stagner.
Blanche's family will greet friends in the FRANK KAPR FUNERAL HOME INC., 417 W. Pittsburgh St., Scottdale, Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Her funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Ken E. Jones, pastor of Owensdale United Methodist Church, officiating. Private interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville.
