Burton was born on June 11, 1929 in Bloomfield, VT, the son of Heamon Algar Nason and Bessie May (Blodgett) Nason.
He is survived by his wife of 50+ years, Julia (Leamon) Nason. She resided at Wyngate Senior Living Community in Parkersburg, WV.
Burt was predeceased by his son, Burton Lee Nason; a brother, Bernard Nason; and a sister, Edna (Nason) Lanoue.
Burt joined the United States Air Force and received his high school diploma from George Washington High School in Alexandria, VA. Burton and his family resided in Vienna, VA most of his life.
Burt retired from the U.S. Government as a CIA agent with 40+ years of service.
Burt was an avid photographer and sportsman. He enjoyed playing guitar and golfing. Burt and Julia enjoyed their many trips around the USA.
He is survived by three sisters, Kathleen Walling, Bloomfield, VT, Mildred Nickerson, Henniker, NH and Rilma Julio, Brockton, MA; and a brother, Edwin B. Nason Sr., West Barnet, VT; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Burial will be Saturday at National Memorial Park in Falls Church, Va., with Pastor Ann Crawford officiating.
Interment was in National Memorial Park, Falls Church, VA.
