Death of Mrs. Mildred Swan
Mrs. Mildred Swan died at the home on Friday evening at 7 o'clock after a long and lingering illness at the age of 55 years, 4 months and 2 days.
She was born near Cherokee and spent all her life in and around the town. She is a member of the Christian church.
She is survived by one son, Chas. Baird, and two grandchildren, Margaret and George of Ft. Scott; two sisters, Mrs. T.W. Whittaker of Cherokee, and Mrs. May Black of Kansas City; three brothers, J.M. Cunningham of Neodesha, Joe Cunningham of Girard, and Edwin Cunningham of McCune.
Funeral services were held at the Christian Church at 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon, with Rev. G.W. Corporan in charge. Burial in Cherokee cemetery.
