Margaret E. Abbott, 71, of 214 Ruth Ave., Hanover, died Tuesday, May 6, in York Hospital.
Born Dec. 30, 1925 in Laydonia, N.C.,she was a daughter of the late Eli D. and Laura B. Murphy Norman. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Paul L. Abbott Sr.
She was formerly employed by Black and Decker of Hampstead, Md., for 14 years.
Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons, Paul L. Jr., of Owings Mills, Md., and David E. Abbott of Eastern Shore, Md.; five daughters, Carolyn N. Wiseman of Artemas, Linda D. Bankert of Spring Grove, Susan E. Emig of Mesquite, Texas, Joann Sawyers of King, N.C., and Nancy L. Ewer of St. Michaels, Md.; six grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; three great grandchildren; four step great grandchildren; three brothers, Hubert Norman of State Road, N.C., Frank and William Norman, both of Greensboro, N.C.; and three sisters, Marie Livingood of Mount Arie, Md., Louise L. Jenkins and Eleanor Hodges, both of Dobson, N.C.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 9, in Kenworthy Funeral Home, Hanover with the Rev. Charles Lloyd officiating. Interment will be in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hanover.
