Lettie Olivene Murphy Smith, 80

Lettie Olivene Murphy Smith, age 80, a native Cannon County, died Friday, March 23, 2014 at her home in Cannon County.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd & Norma (Powell) Murphy; grandson, Brad Gann, brother, John Murphy; and sister Linda Brewer.

Survivors include her husband James Y. Smith, daughters Debbie (David) Kelley and Darlene Smith all of Woodbury, Diane (Danny) Smith of Centertown and Alice (Robert) Menendez of Soddy Daisy; sisters Joyce Malott of Niles, MI., Carolyn Amonett of McMinnville and brother Phillip Murphy of McMinnville; grandchildren; Michael Gann, Joshua Self, Wendy Rogers, Adam Smith and Matt Smith, 9 great grandchildren.

A member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church, she was retired from Eastside School where she was a cook for 22 years.

Visitation will be 4 to 8 p. m. Saturday and Sunday from 12 noon until the time of service. Funeral services is at 2:00 p. m. Sunday, March 23, 2014 at Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Jeff Crips and Adam Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery in Cannon County.

Active pallbearers will be Michael Gann, Joshua Self, Adam and Matt Smith, Sean Rogers and Corey Goodwin. Honorary pallbearers are Harold Porter, Randy & Chris Murphy.

For those wishing to do so, donations mat be made to the Pleasant View building Fund.
