Old-Time Lady Died Last Night
Mrs. Laura Yates Dies at Home Of Daughter in Northern Part of City.

Mrs. Laura Yates, aged sixty-nine years, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clarence Stricklin, 327 Dayton Avenue, last night and she will be laid to her last resting place tomorrow afternoon at two o'clock, with funeral services at the First Baptist church, conducted by Rev. G.E. Slavens.
Mrs. Yates has been making her home with Mrs. Stricklin for the past two years and was suffering with Bright's disease. She was one of the old-time residents of the community and had a large and favorable acquaintance in all parts of Saline county. She was the mother of eleven children nine of whom are living, they being as follows:

Mrs. Harry Church of Harrisburg,
Mrs. Grover Hollar of Harrisburg,
Mrs. Lula Duffey of Harrisburg,
Mrs. Maggie Rister of Lawrenceville,
Esco Yates of Gaskins City,
Jessie Yates of Harrisburg,
Louis Yates of Ingram Hill.
Deceased was also a sister of Mrs. Charles A. Durfee of Golconda,
Louis Durfee of Big Ridge,
Frank Durfee of Stonefort and
J.A. Durfee of Dorris Heights.
Friends of the family are invited to the funeral tomorrow afternoon. Interment will be at Sunset Hill cemetery
