Age 92, formerly of Appleton, Menasha and Brillion, went to heaven on Saturday September 15, 2001. She was born on April 22, 1909, in the Town of Rantoul, daughter of the late Julius and Mary Stecker. On September 21, 1939, she married Norbert Bloedorn and they had two children. Norbert preceded her in death in 1975 in a drowning accident.
When living in Appleton, she was a member of St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church. She worked at the Elks Club and later at the school lunch program at St. Paul's. After moving to Menasha, Rosina was a faithful and active member of Trinity Lutheran Church and active in the Ladies Aide. She currently was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Rantoul.
Rosina is survived by a son, Alex Bloedorn, California; a daughter, Darlene (Jim) Staples, Menomonee Falls; five grandchildren, Andy, Tim and Jay Staples; Jenni and Jeff Bloedorn; two step grandchildren, Tom and Sonja Pompa; a sister, Dorothy Braun; a brother, Reinhold (Madeline) Stecker; a sister-in-law, Anita Stecker; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother, Arthur Stecker, in 1998.
Funeral services will be Thursday, September 20, at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rantoul. The Rev. Kurt Taylor will officiate. Burial will be at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Brillion. Friends may call at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rantoul on Thursday from noon until the time of service. The Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion is assisting the family with arrangements.
