Lydia was a daughter of Abner and Jane (White) Williams. Lydia married in Noble County, Ohio 25 Nov 1852, Amos Day. In 1880, an aunt, Rachel Ball, was living with Amos and Lydia's family and in 1900 and 1910, Amos and Lydia's son, Frederick, and his family were living with them. In 1920, Frederick was head of the household where Lydia resided until her death that year.

This couple, according to census records, had at least 8 children. One died an infant and another died very young, James W. and Orlando Chester Day. The other children (from official record sources):

Vista Viola, b. 14 Nov 1853, married Joseph G. Webster, d. in St. Joseph, Missouri 16 July 1940.

Florence Rose, b. 18 Feb 1859, married in Noble County 25 Nov 1885 Albert Perkins, d. 30 June 1939 in Beaver Twp., Noble County, Ohio.

Elmer E., b. 14 May 1861, married in Guernsey County 22 Jan 1890 Anna L. Webster, d. 26 Aug 1922 in Wills Twp., Guernsey County, Ohio.

Lydia Jane, b. 3 Sept 1865, married Melvin H. Dollison, d. 20 May 1944 in Wheeling, WV.

Amos Abner, b. 9 Mar 1869, married in Belmont County 31 Dec 1892 Nellie Marlow, d. 25 June 1939 in Columbus, Ohio.
