Sarah E. Benson, age 64 years, died at her home near Brooken Sunday afternoon follwing a prolonged illness.
Mrs. Benson was born near Buckville, Arkansas, January 25, 1867. She was converted and joined the Methodist church at the age of 7.
She was married to James M. Benson in February, 1883 (possibly on May 6, 1883). To this union were born 11 children, nine of whom survive, two sons having died in infancy (Ella Earl, Jessie James, Robert Rosco, George Washington, Allen, Johnas, Maude,John Arlington, Laura Lee, Flora Lee, Roy Royston and Olen A. Benson).
Her parents were Jeremiah and Fannie E. Robinson Murray.
