Frederick Klein, 72 years old, died Sunday afternoon of Bright's disease, at his home in Glen Allen. He was born May 30, 1869 at Beardstown, Illinois.
He later moved to St. Louis, where he was united in marriage to Miss Elizabeth Wise on January 10, 1892. Mr. and Mrs. Klein moved to Glen Allen in 1914, where he farmed and operated a nursery.
He is survived by his widow; four children, Fred Klein of Fayette, Mo.; Harry Klein of Marble Hill, Mo.; Mrs. Carlos Burns of Glen Allen, Mo.; and Mrs. Frank Edwards of St. Louis, Mo.; two brothers, Gus Klein and Edward Klein of St. Louis, Mo.; and eight grandchildren.
One son, Eddie, died in infancy.
The body was removed to Baker Funeral Home in Lutesville, and later taken to the home of a daughter, Mrs. Carlos Burns in Glen Allen. Funeral services were held Monday at the Glen Allen Methodist Church, by pastor Rev. H.G. Stewart of Lutesville. Interment was in Glen Allen Cemetery.
