Nora Ellen Jobe, daughter of Peter and Laura Jobe, was born in Clay township, November, 11, 1893 and passed away at her home east of Mondamin, May 8, 1930 at the age of 36 years, 6 months and 27 days.
She spent the early part of her life at their farm home, until the age of 16 years when she was united in marriage to Clay F. Thomas of Mondamin.
To this union three children were born; Thelma, Vivian and Ross.
Her husband, Clay, passed away in 1918.
One year later in 1919 she was united in marriage to Jack Yutesler of Mondamin. To this union three children were born, Mary Jane, Orval and Junior. Mary Jane passed away in infancy.
About a year ago she contracted pneumonia from which she never fully recovered. Shortly afterwards, she developed a goiter, which was the cause of her untimely death. Due to a very weak condition of her heart she was unable to undergo an operation.
She was a kind and loving mother, and wonderful neighbor. Nora was always willing to help anyone regardless of the inconveniences it caused her; nothing was too hard for her to do for her neighbors and friends, and her departure will be felt greatly by her many relatives and friends.
She leaves to mourn her death, her mother, Mrs. Laura Jobe, her husband, Jack Yutesler and five children, Thelma 17 years of age, Vivian age 15, Ross age 12, Orval age 9 and Junior age 4. Four sisters, Mrs. Wm. Dryden of Mondamin, Mrs. Wm. Eytchison, Boise, Idaho, Mrs. Lee Weldon and Mrs. Wm. Clark both of Calhoun, Iowa. Two brothers, Wm. Jobe of Mondamin and Fred Jobe of Council Bluffs. And a host of friends and neighbors.
Funeral service from the L.D.S. church Mondamin 11 A.M. Sunday May 11. D.R. Chambers officiating. Interment in Magnolia cemetery.
