Laura Alice Sturm, daughter of Abbie and Samuel Sturm, passed away at Mondamin at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Wm. Dryden, June 5, 1940, aged 80 years, 10 months, 2 days.
She was born at Bradford, Ills., and came to Harrison Co. with her parents in the spring of 1876.
She was married to Peter Jobe December 18, 1880, at Mondamin. To this union 8 children were born, 3 boys and 5 girls.
Mrs. Bertha Dryden and Mrs. Bessie Weldon, of Mondamin; Mrs. Cora Clark, Council Bluffs; Mrs. Eva Eytchison, Boise, Ida.; Mrs. Nora Yutesler, who preceded her in death in 1930; Will Jobe, Mondamin; Fred Jobe, of Council Bluffs. An infant son also preceded her in death.
Her husband passed away in 1919. She leaves to mourn besides her sons and daughters, a sister, 2 brothers, 28 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren.
She was baptized into the Pentecostal in 1930. She rests beside her husband at Calhoun.
