Betty Jo (Christenson) Emerson, 83 years of age, of Jamestown, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2014 at Mitchell County Hospital in Beloit.

She was born near Jamestown on August 2, 1930 to Theodore "Ted" and Blanche (Edgington) Christenson.

Betty married Bud Emerson on September 3, 1976 in Beloit.

She was a past member of the Assembly of God Church in Concordia.

Betty is survived by 8 children, LaDonna Fulton, Cary Logan, both of Beloit, Cheryl Johnson of Concordia, Rita Lewis and husband Mitchell of Douglass, Steve Logan and wife LaDonna of Beloit, Kathy Fulton of Joplin, Missouri, Kevin Fulton of Jamestown, Kim Fulton of Beloit; 3 step sons, Don, Richard, and David Emerson, all of Wichita; 29 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; 2 sisters, Ruth Trowbridge and husband Melford of Concordia, Darlene Everhart of Inman; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Bud on May 29, 1996; and a brother, Albert Christenson.
