William Joseph Balaun, 75, a former resident of Fort Dodge died at the Veterans Hospital in Fort Harrison, Mont., Saturday. He lived in Missoula, Mont.
He is survived by his widow and nephew, the Rev. John Cain, former assistant pastor of Corpus Christi Church and now at St. John's Catholic Church at Gilmore City.
The body is being returned to the Laufersweiler Funeral Home and arrangements will be announced later.

Funeral services for William Joseph Balaun, 75, will be hld at 8:30 a.m. Friday at the Laufersweiler Funeral Home and at 9 o'clock at Corpus Christi Church. The Rev. John Cain, pastor of St. John's Catholic Church in Gilmore City and a nephew of Mr. Balaun will officiate. Burial will be in Corpus Christi Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Thursday. The rosary will be recited Thursday night a 8 o'clock at the funeral home.
