Anna I. Weispfenning, 86, 1405 7th St. S., Moorhead, MN, died on Saturday, March 16, 2002, in Eventide Lutheran Home in Moorhead.
Anna Ida Schott, the daughter of John P. and Lydia (Siewert) Schott, was born on Sept. 7, 1915, in Kulm, ND, where she grew up and attended school.
Anna married Ervin A. Weispfenning on Oct. 24, 1937. They lived in Kulm, Colfax, WA, Ellendale, ND, and Henning, MN. In 1962 they moved to Moorhead.
Ervin died on Sept. 17, 1965. After his death, Anna continued to live in Moorhead. In recent years, she had lived at Eventide the Fairmont, and since 2001 at Eventide Lutheran Home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and three sisters.
Anna is survived by five daughters, Virginia (Phil) Peterson, Minneapolis, MN, Sandra (Jim) Christopherson, Moorhead, Donna (Bob Groger) Weispfenning, Minneapolis, Sharon Weispfenning, Huntington Beach, CA, and Karon Christenson, Huntington Beach; a brother, Clarence (LaVonne) Schott, Kirkland, WA; twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Thursday, 4-7 PM, Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
Funeral: Friday, March 22, 2002, 11 AM, Grace United Methodist Church, Moorhead
Burial: Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead.
