Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Heritage Funeral Home in San Saba from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at Richland Springs Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
Helene grew up in the Fairview/Lohn area and was a Brady High School graduate and then graduated from ACU with a teaching degree.
She married Haskell Miller in 1949. In 1950 they moved into town where Haskell was born and raised. They were both teachers in Richland Springs for years, driving back and forth from their ranch in Fairview.
"Sug" as she was known by family and friends, loved working the ranch with her husband, where they raised polled Hereford cattle and angora goats. She also enjoyed gardening and loved flowers.
Helene was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, cousins; Ray Tetens, Howard B. Tetens, Billy Tetens, Pamela and Diane Tetens.
Helene was survived by 4 cousins: Lee Tetens and wife Jane of Rochelle, Texas; Robert Tetens, Garland Tetans and Joan Moore.
In Lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the charity of your choice.
