Suggested edit: MONTICELLO — Ella "Grandma" Sabin, 95, a former Monticello resident, died Sunday, Nov. 19, 1995 at the Monroe Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Monroe. She was born Dec. 25, 1899 at Medford, the daughter of William and Augusta (Pagel) Bunge. She attended Medford schools. She married Edgar Sabin June 29, 1917 in Medford. He died Aug. 1, 1974. They lived in Exeter township, Green County, where they farmed until 1956 and then moved to Monticello. Mrs. Sabin was a member of Zwingli United Church of Christ, Monticello. Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. John (Anna) Wendlandt, Brodhead, Erna Smith, Monroe, and Beverly O'Meara, Lebanon, Mo.; 21 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 32 greatgreat-grandchildren and two great-great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, William Bunge, and a sister, Anna Mathias. Funeral services are 11 am. Saturday at Voegeli-Newcomer Funeral Home, Monticello, with the Rev. Charles Workman officiating. Interment is in Greenwood Cemetery, Brodhead Relatives and friends may call from 5-8 pm. Friday at the funeral home at 360 S. Garfield St. in, Monticello.
