ANDERSON - Mrs. Ophelia Daniel Waters, age 87, widow of the late Ernest Ralph Waters, went to her heavenly home on October 26, 2009.
Born April 26, 1922 in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late John M. Daniel and Minnie Fuller Daniel. She was Ralph's wife for 68 years, the mother of three children, grandmother, great-grandmother and homemaker.
She is survived by her son, Lane Waters (Lisa) of Mebane, NC; daughters, Lynne Queen and Cindy Black, both of Anderson, SC; seven grandchildren, Scott (Sherry) Queen and Mark Queen, Stephanie McLeskey (her caregiver) and husband Mike, Shana Culbertson, Tasha Culbertson, who preceded her in death, Cathlin (Aaron) Gramza and Michael Waters; ten great-grandchildren, Kollette (Jason) Rhodes, Tyler, Taylor, Brooke Culbertson, Megan Pitman, Blake, Brantly, Ashley, and Brittany Queen, Lincoln Gramza and a sister, Bonnie Branyon of Greenville.
A private family graveside service was held on October 28, 2009 officiated by her great-nephew, Reverend Ronnie Blackwell and life-long friend, Reverend James Kelly.
The McDougald Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
