Bishop Will Conduct Funeral For Wortley
Charles R. Wortley, foster son of Mr. and Mrs. H.J. Couper, died Sunday at the Couper home on the Sargent road, west of Lodi, following a short illness. He was a native of Australia, aged 18 years, 7 months and 10 days.
He was the brother of Sidney Couper, Ngawina Wortley, Lodi; and Ruth Gardner, Alameda.
Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at St. John's Episcopal church with Bishop S.C. Sanford, officiating. Interment will be made in Lodi cemetery under the direction of Hale & Bawden.
