John Logan HATFIELD was born near Owensburg, Indiana, on July 17, 1867; died March 20, 1947, being at the time of his passing 79 years, eight months and three days old.
On February 26, 1888, Mr. HATFIELD was united in marriage to Ella STROSNIDER, and to this union nine children were born, Stanley HATFIELD, of Crawfordsville, Indiana; Christie BORUFF, of Owensburg, Indiana; Stella HUDSON, of Owensburg, Indiana; Ruby RODENBECK, of Switz City, Indiana; Mary MANSENBERGER, of Bedford, Indiana; Harry HATFIELD, of Terre Haute, Indiana. Three children of this union preceded their father in death, Ruth HATFIELD RUSH, of Owensburg; Nell Virginia HATFIELD, and Reed HATFIELD.
Mr. HATFIELD also leaves several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; also one brother, Otto HATFIELD, of Bloomfield, and two sisters, Nancy WORKMAN, of Bloomfield, and Nora SHORT, of Indianapolis, and also many friends.
Mr. HATFIELD united with the Church of Christ of Owensburg February 22, 1908, and almost since his affiliation with the church he has been preaching the gospel. Buried
