Philippine Senator. Uncle of President Ramon F. Magsaysay.

He was a practicing lawyer before running for Congress for the lone district of Zambales, he won by a massive majority over his opponents. In 1959, he ran for senator. He emerged second on the list of winners.

As member of the Senate, he was chairman of: the committee on accounts, committee on social justice and welfare. He was vice - chairman of the committee on public works and communications and committee on veterans and pensions.

Among the bills he introduced are those which seek to elevate the PACD to department status; provide reasonable compensation to barrio officials. He also sponsored the bill extending assistance to the National Power Corporation enabling to write off its obligations, obtain $34 million loan from the World and and extend electrification to the rural areas.

In the 50th Inter - Parliamentary Conference held at Brussels, he presented the Philippines and was elected one of the vice - presidents of the conference. He headed the Senate committee on community development.

Senator Magsaysay was born on September. 19, 1924 in Castillejos , Zambales, is married to the former Adelaida "Baby" Rodriguez, daughter and of the late Eulogio Rodriguez, Sr., former Nacionalista Party and Senate President, and is an alumnus of Ateneo de Manila University where he finished his secondary education and obtained his bachelor of Laws degree.

He was senator from 1959-1965; 1965-1971; and 1971-1973.
