Mrs. Florene Poole Adams, 88, of 2001 Ohio Ave., died Feb. 3, 1989 at Self Memorial Hospital, Greenwood, SC. Born in Keysville, GA, she lived most of her life in Augusta. She was a homemaker and member of Curtis Baptist Church where she was superintendent of the intermediate Sunday school department and member of the choir. Surviving is son Rev. Al G. Adams Jr. of Atlanta, GA; daughter, Mrs. Alice Adams Beaudrot of Greenwood; brother, Clayton "Doc" Pool of Matthews, GA; sisters, Mrs. Bell P. Connor of Harlem, GA, Mrs. Bailey Connor of Appling, GA, Mrs. Lonnie Googe of Martinez, GA and Mrs. Louise Walker of Lincolnton, GA; 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Services were held at Curtis Baptist Church. Rev. John C. Bryan and Rev. Al G. Adams Jr. officiated. Burial was in Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Al David Adams, Paul Stephen Adams, Charles "Chuck" Beaudrot, Thomas Baine, Ed Whitaker, James Connor, Clayton Googe and Wilton Walker. Platt's Funeral Home.
