JOHN J. CIPOLLONE, 91, of Stony Lane, a retired welder, died yesterday at Kent County Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Hazel (Mills) Cipollone, and the late Bertha M. (Moreau) Cipollone.
Born in Warwick, a son of the late Domenic and Enrichetta (Vendresca) Cipollone, he lived in Warwick until moving to North Kingstown three years ago. Mr. Cipollone was a welder at Mobil Oil Corp. in East Providence for 35 years, until he retired in 1972. He was a member of John F. Kennedy Council 5701, Knights of Columbus, in Warwick.
Besides his wife, he leaves a son, Richard J. Cipollone of North Kingstown; a step-son, Philip Smith of Exeter; a step-daughter, Norma Sprague, and two sisters, Marie Johnson and Anna Kuepker, all of Warwick; six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Angelina, Pasquale and James Cipollone, Eleanor Deschene, Valentina Mills and Adeline Duckworth.
The funeral will be held Friday at 8 a.m. from the Peter J. Barrett Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Ave., Warwick, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 in St. William Church, Pettaconsett Avenue, Warwick. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
