GREAT FALLS – The funeral for Mr. Charles Spencer Evans of 321 Wrangler Drive was held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 30, at Weeping Mary Baptist Church in Winnsboro with Pastor J.C. Edwards officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.
Mr. Evans, 65, died Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at Springs Memorial Hospital in Lancaster. He was born Nov. 27, 1947, in White Oak, S.C.
Survivors include his wife, Almetta Hoover; his children, Ywonella Evans, Charles Evans, Jamie Evans, Pedro Evans and Javarius Hoover, all of Lancaster, Tawanna Foster of Woodard, Tyrone Hoover and Anthony Hoover, both of Chester, Matthew Hoover of Columbia and Keith Hoover, De'Andre Hoover, Mylek Hoover and Tyrek Hoover, all of the home; five sisters, Ella Rena Jordan of Woodard, Erma Lee Evans and the Rev. Vivian Evans, both of White Oak, Delphine Woodard of Chester and the Rev, Elaine Kennedy of Winnsboro; and four brothers, Van American Evans of Winnsboro, Thomas Evans and Timothy "Mickey" Evans, both of White Oak, and Earl Dexter of Great Fall
