James Ralph Blankenship, 78 of Star City, died Monday at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. He was born June 24, 1934 in Alabama to the late John Melvin and Elsie Inez Maples Blankenship. He was a member of Pine Hill Free Will Baptist Church.
Also preceding him in death were 2 sons; Mickey Ray Blankenship and Michael Dean Blankenship.
Survivors include 1 son; Rick Blankenship of Glendora, CA, 1 daughter; Kathy Woods of Covina, CA, 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Local visitation is 5:00-7:00PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be announced at a later date in California.
