On the first day of spring, Stella passed away peacefully after a brief battle with cancer, with her family by her side. Stella grew up in Roseville and attended Roseville High School, where she met her dearest friends and proudly graduated in the Class of '67.
Stella was always known for her love of music, most notably, the music of The Beatles. She thoroughly enjoyed going to many live concerts with her family and friends. Always holding her family close to her heart, Stella was a lover and believer of family traditions. She especially cherished the time she spent with her seven grandchildren who adore her: Emma, Ava and Connor Simmons, Christian Cotter and Alex, Lizzie and Josie Merydith.
Stella is survived by her children: Liana Cotter (Joe) Simmons, James Cotter, Jr. and Leicia Cotter; her husband, Craig Maher; and her siblings Art (Janet) Bracamonte, Manuel (Mary) Bracamonte, Marie Duarte (Christian) Huntington; nieces & nephews, Nicole, Jessica, Ryan & Clint.
Memorial services for Stella will be held on Saturday, April 5 at 12 noon at Abundant Life Fellowship located at 706 Atlantic Street in Roseville. A reception will follow.
