GEORGE FREDERICK BERGMAN, 71, of Rowland Ave., life-long Mansfield resident, died at General Hospital Tuesday following an illness of several days.

Mr. Bergman was born in Mansfield January 25, 1893. For many years he was employed as bookkeeper and auditor by the Tracy and Avery Co., and in more recent years at the W. E. Jones Piano and Furniture House, retiring from the latter company in 1963.

Mr. Bergman was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Venus Lodge 152, F and AM; Council 94, R and S.M.; Chapter 28, R. A. M.; and the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, Canton Consistory. He was treasurer of the North Lake Park Assn.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Emma Thomas Bergman; a son, Harry Bergman of Ft. Wayne, IN; a daughter, Mrs. William Rowe of Elyria; two grandsons and two granddaughters; one brother, Albert Bergman of Mansfield. Two brothers, Karl and William Bergman, preceded him in death.

Masonic memorial services will be conducted this evening at the Jones Memorial. Funeral services will be conducted Friday in the Jones Memorial. Burial in the Memorial Park.
