Mary O'Toole Curran of High Acres, Onondaga Hill, and Martha's Vineyard, Mass., died Saturday at her home.
Mrs. Curran was a native of Syracuse and resided for many years at 210 Wellesley Road. She lived on Onondaga Hill the past three years. She had a residence on Martha's Vineyard the past 30 years.
Mrs. Curran was a communicant of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
She attended Nottingham High School and was a graduate of Syracuse City Normal School and Syracuse University. She was the widow of Charles J. Curran , who died in 1982.
She was an instructional specialist in reading for the Syracuse city school system. She retired in 1977.
Mrs. Curran was a charter member of the Corinthian Club and a member of the Everson Museum Guild and of the Syracuse Symphony Guild. She was an active volunteer at Community-General Hospital and was a member of the New York State Retired Teachers Association.
Surviving are a son, Charles J. of Birmingham, Ala.; a daughter, Cathleen C. Snyder of Springfield, Ill.; a brother, Dr. John S. O'Toole of San Diego, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Frances Ackley of Onondaga Hill; four grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Whelan Bros. Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial is at Resurrection Chapel Mausoleum, St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.
