Judith Richardson was the second of twelve children born to Benjamin and Judith (Mason) Richardson. She accompanied her parents to New York, eventually settling at Johnstown, where she became the first wife of Jeremiah Libby Brown on 17 August 1830. They removed to Genoa Township in the autumn of 1837. She was the mother of two sons and five daughters and died on the home farm. Jeremiah married secondly to Eliza A. Jackman, and by her had further issue.
