Sarah Sue Abbott, age 63, of Cromwell, died Monday, July 26, 2010 at her residence after an extended battle with cancer.

Mrs. Abbott was born on February 12, 1947 in Topmost, Kentucky to Colones and Edna (Mullins) Caudill. She married William "Bill" Abbott on November 7, 1969, he survives.

She moved to the area nearly 40 years ago coming from Topmost, Kentucky. She was a dedicated homemaker and was also a member of 5 Corners Baptist Church in Wolcottville.

Mrs. Abbott is survived by her husband; two children, Rebecca (Brent) Firestone of Albion, William "Dale" (Christella) Abbott of Wolcottville; three grandchildren, Audriana Elaine Firestone, William Jay Abbott, and Austin Dale Abbott; five siblings, Carolyn (Doffey) Huff of Ligonier, Lilly Mae (Boyd) Short of Topmost, KY, Sylvia Little of Topmost, KY, Emery Caudill of Lexington, KY, and Eddie (Jeanette) Caudill of Topmost, KY. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Diamond & Fred Caudill; and one sister, Ella Mae Caudill.

A funeral service will be held in Mrs. Abbott's honor on Friday, July 30, 2010 at 1 PM at Yeager Funeral Home in Ligonier with Pastor Clarence Combs officiating. Burial will be in Sparta Cemetery in Kimmell, IN.

There will be a visitation on Thursday, July 29, 2010 from 1-3 PM and 5-7 PM at Yeager Funeral Home. Following the visitation there will be a special worship service at 7 PM held at Yeager Funeral Home.
