Mrs. Bernice Sartain Bullington, age 56 of Kannapolis, North Carolina, passed away on October 2, 2006 at her home.
Mrs. Bullington was born on January 18, 1950 in Cabarrus County. She was a daughter of Faye Patterson Sartain of Kannapolis, and the late Robert Ervin Sartain.
Bernice had worked as a registered nurse and supervisor for Britthaven in Kannapolis until her retirement in 2002, due to health problems. She was also a member of Unity Baptist Church in Kannapolis, North Carolina.
In addition to her mother, Bernice is survived by two daughters, Teresa Owens, Gay Perez and husband, Gonzalo of Kannapolis, two sons, Homer Bullington and wife, Dionza of Clayton, Georgia, and Anthony Bullington of Kannapolis, two sisters, Vickie S. Teal of China Grove and Janice S. Thomas of Kannapolis, two brothers, Jack Sartain of China Grove and Roger Sartain and wife, Cindy of Rimertown, seventeen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Her funeral service was held on October 5, 2006 at Unity Baptist Church in Kannapolis, officiated by Pastor Tommy Wensil. The burial followed at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove, North Carolina.
