Southern Illinoisan Dec. 1, 2007: ORAVILLE - Linda Sue Childers, 41, died at 10:40 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007, in Oraville. She was born Sunday, Feb. 20, 1966, in Murphysboro to Bobbie Kilpatrick and Etta Green Kilpatrick. She married Edward L. Childers on April 9, 2004, in Gatlinburg, Tenn.
Survivors include her husband, Edward L. "Mouse" Childers of Oraville; sons, Derek Ellenberg of Ava and Seth Ellenberg of Oraville; parents, Bobbie and Etta Kilpatrick of Ava; brothers, Randy Kilpatrick of Ava, Lester Kilpatrick of Ava, Roger Kilpatrick of Murphysboro, Karl Kilpatrick of Ava and Everett Kilpatrick of Ava; sisters, Brenda Lage of Colfax and Beth Berry of Ava; and several nieces and nephews. She was of Protestant faith. She was a CNA. Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, 2007, in Wilson's Funeral Home in Ava, with the Rev. Francis Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Parrish Cemetery in Vergennes. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007, and from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Scleroderma Association or TIP Hospice.
