(FIVE POINTS) Services for Charles Malcolm "Mack" Blackmon, 60, of Five Points were Monday, Aug. 13, 2007, at 11 a.m. at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Derrick Farr and the Rev. Gerald Sheppard officiating. Burial followed at Wehadkee Cemetery.
Mr. Blackmon died Friday, Aug. 10, at Randolph Medical Center, Roanoke.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Huddleston Blackmon of Five Points; three daughters; two sons; one stepson; one brother, Jimmy Blackmon of Roanoke; a half-brother, Robert Staples of Woodland; and a half-sister, Carol Bowen of Woodland; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Benjie Johnson, Kevin Johnson, Alex Huddleston, Alford Huddleston, Randall Smith and Dewight Blackmon.
A Selma native, Mr. Blackmon was born June 11, 1947, son of Gurtis and Sara Gladys Towler Blackmon. He was a Vietnam War Army veteran.
