Louis Chick Hicks of West Yarmouth, MA, formerly of Sharon and Delray Beach, FL, passed away at home on April 3rd, 20ll at the age of 90. He was the husband of the late Gladys Hicks.
Born in Boston, the son of Jacob and Rose Goldstein, he attended Dorchester High School and was a member of the Dorchester Town Team. For many years he was a member of the Knights of Pythias and the Bnai Brith Mens Chapter of Sharon.
He proudly served overseas in WWII and was responsible for moving army field hospitals to the front lines under difficult circumstances.
Louis worked for the United State Post Office, was a union steward and retired as a letter carrier from the Sharon Post Office. He always remembered the wonderful people on his route.
He leaves behind his daughters Basha, Lynn and Robyn; granddaughters Sarah, Felicia, Roberta, Audrey, and Emelia; sons-in-law Joseph Santoro and Wayne Egan, grandson-in-law Philip Kerrigan and great grandson William Gray.
He is remembered for his beautiful singing voice, his faith, generosity, charity, intelligence and gentility. His love and knowledge of nature, the arts, music and politics and his warmth and love of life set him apart and made him the very precious person that he was.
