Kite - George Anderson, 86, died early Sunday morning, May 9th, in Swainsboro Nursing Home of Swainsboro after an extended illness. Mr. Anderson was a native of Toombs County, living there most of his life before moving to Emanuel County in 1985. He was a retired farmer and a member of Harden's Chapel Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his son, Benny Earl Anderson in 2002.
Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife of 67 years, Earleen Mosley Anderson of Kite; three daughters, Birdie A. Roundtree of Macon, Annie Helen Nasworthy of Pembroke and Eleanor A. Nasworthy of Kite; nine grandchildren, several great grandchildren, great -great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral service for Mr. George Anderson will be conducted Tuesday afternoon, May 11 at 2:00 from Ronnie L. Stewart Family Funeral Service Chapel of Vidalia with Rev. Joe Phillips and Rev. Bob Rathburn officiating. Interment will follow in Harden's Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening beginning at 6:00. Ronnie L.
