Roman V. "Romy" Decker, age 74, of 2703 11th Street, Two Rivers, died Monday afternoon, April 1, 2013, at the Hamilton Care Center.
Romy was born November 5, 1938, in the town of Kossuth, son of the late Roman M. And Caroline (Sporer) Decker. He graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1956. Romy enlisted as a member of the Army Reserve. On June 17, 1961, he married Florence Zimmer at St. Mark Catholic Church in Two Rivers. Romy was employed at Radant & Sons, City of Two Rivers and retired from Lakeside Foods. He was member of N.E.W. O'Gaugers Train Club, the Newton & Chilton Steam Engine Clubs, and the Friends of Sinawa.
Survivors include his wife, Florence Decker, Two Rivers; daughters and son-in-law: Lynn & Henry Harlaub, Manitowoc; Leann Decker, Two Rivers; grandchildren: Tiffany Decker and special friend Jed Schuett, Manitowoc; Sara Posvic, Two Rivers; Matthew Posvic, Manitowoc; two brothers and one sister-in-law: Eugene (Ludene) Decker, Shawano; Rodney Decker & Special friend Martha, Two Rivers; sisters and brothers-in-law: Carol Mane, Milwaukee; Lorraine (David) Terens, Two Rivers; Danny Hahn, Two Rivers; Shirley (Duane) Harms, Bemidji, MN; Beverly (John) Rautman, Sheboygan; Margaret (David) Lodl, Two Rivers; Patty Eslinger, Two Rivers; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Marvin and Merrily Zimmer, Clover; Stanley and Joann Zimmer, Houston, TX; Reuben and Cheryl Zimmer, Manitowoc; Glenn and Mary Ann Zimmer, Two Rivers; special cousins-in-law: Stanley and Bonnie Grimm, Pat Grimm, of Green Bay; and Judy (Larry) Wojick, Two Rivers. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m., Friday, April 5, 2013, at Klein & Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.
