Frederick J. Duprey, age 68, of 1606 19th St., Two Rivers, died Wednesday evening, June 7, 2006 at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.

Fritz was born June 3, 1938, in Two Rivers, son of the late Euclide and Ruth (Schafelke) Duprey. He graduated from Washington High School with the class of 1956. Fritz served with the U.S. Army from 1964-1968. On May 18, 1968, he married Beverly Gaedtke at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Fritz was employed at Manitowoc Engineering, retiring after 34 years. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and was an avid listener of polka music.

Survivors include his wife: Beverly, Two Rivers; two daughters and sons-in-law: Marilyn and Michael Krueger, Two Rivers; Michelle and Mark Taylor, Two Rivers; six grandchildren: Robert, Allen, Callie Krueger; Trevor and Courtney Alberts; Christian Taylor; four sisters and three brothers-in-law: Carol Helgeson and John Doleshal, De Pere; Sister Diane Marie Duprey, New Jersey; Judy and Gary Rebarchek, Manitowoc; Audrey and Pablo Gomez, Arizona; one brother: Gary Duprey, Sheboygan; mother-in-law: Arlene Gaedtke, Maribel; two sisters-in-law: Diane (Gilroy) Bruss, Maribel; RaeAnn (Randall) Wotruba, Maribel; two sisters-in-law: Alice Gauthier, Two Rivers; Kathy Kohls, Manitowoc; one brother-in-law: Jay Mikeal, Ariz.; and a special friend: Sister Ellie, New Jersey. Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

He was preceded in death by five brothers: Donald (Rose) Duprey, Robert Duprey, Charles Duprey, Richard Duprey, Dennis Duprey; and three sisters: Mary Alice (Chuck) Nickels; Mary Angeline Duprey; and Rosalyn Mikeal.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 15, 2006, at Grace Congregational Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Kim Henning. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday, June 14, 2006, at Klein & Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers from 4 to 8 p.m. Visitation will continue Thursday at church from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 10 a.m.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Aurora Medical Center, especially ICU and Hospice, for their care and compassion shown towards Fritz and his family.
