Victor J. Engeldinger, age 89, of 2508 - 38th St., Two Rivers, entered eternal life on Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011, at River's Bend Health & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.

Victor was born March 15, 1921, in the town of Franklin, Kewaunee County, to the late Nicholaus and Rose (Steinberger) Engeldinger. He attended country school in the town of Franklin, and later attended technical school to learn the electrical trade. On June 8, 1944, he was married to Ethel M. Robinson at St. Luke Catholic Church, Two Rivers. She preceded him in death on Oct. 9, 1995. He was employed with Hamilton Mfg. Co. for 50 years, retiring on his birthday in 1991. Vic enjoyed tinkering around his hobby farm; making wood; hunting and fishing; he and Ethel loved dancing, and he was a longtime member of the Hamilton Goodfellowship Club.

Survivors include his five children: Kathryn (Kay) and Edward Roller of Poynette, Wis., Richard and Eunice Engeldinger of Curran, Karen and Leon Kober of West Bend, Jane Engeldinger and special friend, Ron Genrich of Two Rivers, John M. Engeldinger of Two Rivers; six grandchildren, Christopher (Erin) Kober, Victoria (Tony) Schnapp, Nichole (Eric) Kraynik, Niklaus Engeldinger, Valerie Wilkinson, Gregory (Maureen) Kober; and seven great-grandchildren, Clarissa and Jacob Kober, Brandy and Samuel Kraynik, Owen Schnapp, and Robert and Joseph Strickler. He is further survived by one sister-in-law: Helen Engeldinger of Curran; one step sister-in-law: Laverne Post of Michigan; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his step-mother: Catherine (Post) Engeldinger; his wife: Ethel; two brothers: George and Bernard Engeldinger; two stepsisters: Evelyn Lessmiller and Grace Smith; and four stepbrothers: Delmar, Milton, Robert, and William Post.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2011, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3218 Tannery Rd., Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Dick Mauthe, with burial to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.

Friends may call at the Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, 1506 - 18th St., Two Rivers, from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday evening where a prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m., led by Sr. Pat. Visitation will continue Tuesday morning at the church, after 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass at 10:30 a.m.
