Born September 15, 1948, in Spartanburg, he was the son of Bernhardt (Witherspoon) Berry of Spartanburg and the late Earle Red Berry.
Mr. Berry, a self-employed businessman, was a graduate of East Tennessee State University, a member of the National Rifle Association, a big supporter of the Spartanburg Humane Society, and an avid collector of Civil War and World War II memorabilia.
A memorial service was held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 21, 2005, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Heritage Chapel Mausoleum, conducted by Pastor Jerry Clevenger. The family received friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials could be made to the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
