Deceased Name: Dorothy B. Brenize, 80, of 112 Lurgan Ave., Shippensburg, died Thursday, Oct. 9, 2003, in Shippensburg Health Care Center.
Born April 7, 1923, in Southampton Township, Cumberland County, she was a daughter of the late Herman and Mable Fitzgerald Holtry.
Mrs. Brenize was employed for more than 21 years as a sales clerk at Valley Baking Company, formerly of Shippensburg. Earlier in her life, she worked in the Shippensburg Senior High School cafeteria.
She was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church, Newburg.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Jacob E. Brenize; two sons, Ray E. of Shippensburg and Fred L. of Mead, Wash.; a daughter, Ruby J. Dorosh of Shippensburg; a brother, Harold Holtry of Shippensburg; a sister, Violet Holtry of Shippensburg; eight grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, a brother and three sisters.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, 112 W. King St., Shippensburg, with the Revs. Bonnie L. Ort and John A. Ile Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Shippensburg.
Friends may call Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
