Jeanette M. Hansen, age 87, of Two Rivers, died Friday morning, July 25, 2014, at the Wisteria Haus, Two Rivers.
Jeanette was born May 4, 1927 in Kaukauna, WI, daughter of the late Irvin P. and Gertrude M. (Hoff) Scheuer. She was a graduate of Mishicot High School with the class of 1945. On January 28, 1950, Jeanette married Albert F. Hansen at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mishicot. He preceded her in death on October 30, 1990. Jeanette was a nursing assistant at the Hamilton Home for 13 years before retiring to babysit for her grandchildren. She was a member of the Ladies of St. Luke Church and the St. Peter the Fisherman Council of Catholic Women. Jeanette was an excellent cook. She loved spending time with her family and was always willing to help anyone in need. Jeanette was extremely caring and giving and if you got within her reach you got a hug and a kiss.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law: Janet and John Wilsmann, Two Rivers; Rebecca and Mike Mueller, Manitowoc; two sons and one daughter-in-law: Jeffrey and Jean Hansen, Two Rivers; Bruce Hansen and special friend Nancy, Surprise, AZ; eight grandchildren: Jesse Wilsmann, Jacob (Katie) Wilsmann, Jeremy (Missy) Hansen, Christopher Hansen, Sarah (Scott) Bennett, Dane (Raissa) Hansen, Lindsay Powalisz, Ryan Mueller; three great grandchildren: Xander Hansen, Grace Bennett, Jade Bennett and Elsa Hansen arriving in September; one sister and two brothers-in-law: Joan and Lloyd Brouchoud and Vernon Pautz, all of Mishicot; one brother and two sisters-in-law: Michael Scheuer, Dolly Scheuer and Mary Scheuer, all of Mishicot.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers: Francis Scheuer, John Scheuer and Patrick Scheuer; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Kathleen Pautz, Maxine and Edwin Juckem.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. Tom Reynebeau with burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
The Klein & Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
