Walter Joseph Berry Sr. Wally, 57, died at home in Kingston on Friday, January 9, 2009. Wally was the son of the late Thomas R. and Theresa F. (MacDonald) Berry of Kingston. Born in Avon, Wally grew up in Rocky Nook Kingston, and graduated from Silver Lake High School in 1970.

He lived in Hanover for 17 years and Pembroke for seven years before returning to Rocky Nook. Wally was a diesel mechanic for Cummins Northeast for many years. He had a love of boats, fishing and motorcycles and formerly practiced karate with his brother Bucky at the Hanover Police Boys Club. He spent many hours helping his nephew Brandon at Plympton Cycle, a motorcycle repair and sales shop.

There will be a celebration of his life at Richard Davis Funeral Home, 373 Court Street, Plymouth, MA on Wednesday, January 14, 2009 from 4-8pm. The family is requesting in place of flowers that donations be made in his memory to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454 Alexandria, VA 22312.
