The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, November 2, 1999, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Rev. William O'Brien and Rev. John Schmitt will officiate with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.
He was born on March 19, 1910, in Mishicot, son of the late Joseph and Regina Wachtel Hoffman. He attended school in Mishicot. On June 8, 1940, he married the former Helen Marek, in Two Rivers, in a triple wedding ceremony. Hugo was the founder and past president of Hoffman Bros. Inc. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and the Men of Holy Redeemer.He was a former member of the Two Rivers Lions and Rotary Clubs.
Survivors include his wife Helen: four sons, Dr. Alan J. (Nancy) Hoffman, Marietta, Ga., Dr. Thomas J. (Susan) Hoffman, Knoxville, Tenn., Roger (Carol)Hoffman, Green Bay, and Ronald W. Hoffman, Manitowoc, one daughter, Mary(Randal) Boyd, Conway, Ark., one daughter-in-law, Darlene E. Hoffman, Manitowoc; one sister and brother-in-law, Sylvia and Richard Steinhardt, Two Rivers; seven sisters-in-law, Rose (Joseph) Gagnon, Two Rivers, Hortense J. Dufek, Edina, Minn., Lauraine Jungles, Gladstone, Mich., Marge Marek, Manitowoc, Germaine Marek, Menasha, Eva Hoffman, Two Rivers; many nieces, nephews also survive, 21 Grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Glen, three brothers, Joseph, Paul and Harold Hoffman; five sisters, Martha Brieder, Evelyn Eis, Malonia Bauer, Serena Graff, and Mildred Steinhauer.
Friends may call at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church after 1 p.m. on Tuesday until the time of Mass at 4 p.m.
