On January 17, 2004, one of Wisconsin's oldest twins made her way to heaven. Helen A. Hoffman, age 92 of 2124 31st Street, passed away at home in Two Rivers. Helen was born on September 10, 1911 in Two Rivers tot he late John and Rose (Schmitt)Marek. She attended schools in Two Rivers, graduating from Washington High School with the class of 1929. On June 8, 1940 she married Hugo J. Hoffman I Two Rivers. He preceded her in death on October 29, 1999.
Survivors include her daughter: Mary Boyd, Conway, Ark.; four sons and daughters-on law; Dr. Alan and Nancy Hoffman, Marietta, Ga.; Dr. Thomas and Susan Hoffman, Knoxville, Tenn; Roger and Carol Hoffman, Punta Gorda, Fla; Ronald and Nancy Hoffman, Green Bay, a daughter-in-law, Darlene Hoffman Manitowoc; 21 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren,. She is further survived by three sisters, her twin sister Hortense S. Dufek, Shakopee, Minn.; Lauraine Jungles, Gladstone, Mich,; and Rose Gagnon, Two Rivers; four sister-in-laws Marge(Claude)Marek, Manitowoc; Germaine(John)Marek, Menasha; Eva Hoffman, Mishicot; Sylvia (Richard)Seinhardt, Two Rivers.
Relatives and friends may call St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Parish, Holy Redeemer Site, Two Rivers, on Tuesday morning after 9:30 a.m. until the time of mass at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 20, 2004. Officiating will be the Rev. William G. O'Brien, with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers. There will be no Monday evening visitation. Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, Two Rivers is assisting the Hoffman family with funeral arrangements
