Mrs. E. Bunce, a resident of Hawarden for more than 25 years, passed away at the Hawarden hospital at 2 o'clock Wednesday morning as the result of a serious fall on December 31, when she fractured her right arm and hip.

Elizabeth Whiten was born on April 11, 1875, near Louisville, Ky., where she grew to womanhood and married William Cain. To this union were born ten children, two of whom preceded her in death. She came to Hawarden in 1918 and a number of years ago Mr. Cain passed away. Later she was married to Eben Bunce, who survives her.

She also leaves eight children, Charlie, Leonard, Fountain, Wilbur and Gilbert Cain of Hawarden; Lester Cain of Ireton; and Mrs. Vincent Hawkins of Coral Ridge, Ky., and Moman Cain of Rineyville, Ky. There are 28 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Ross Funeral home with Rev. V.W. Bell officiating.
