IRENE M. KOPETSKY

Irene M. Kopetsky, age 79, formerly of 3215 Mishicot Road, Two Rivers, and a current resident of Hamilton Memorial Home, Two Rivers, died Saturday evening, Nov. 29, 2003 at the home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 5, 2003 at St. Peter the Fisherman Parish, Holy Redeemer Site, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Memorial Mass will be the Rev. William O'Brien with burial of the cremated remains at Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.

Irene was born April 27, 1924 in Two Rivers, daughter of the late Alexander and Anna Shikowski Pliszkiewicz. She attended Sacred Heart Grade School and Washington High School in Two Rivers, graduating with the class of 1941. On April 27, 1946, Irene married Eugene A. Kopetsky at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Two Rivers. He preceded her in death on Feb. 26, 1995. Irene was employed by Bill's Red Owl and Pick 'N Save for many years.

Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law: Michael Kopetsky, Menlo Park, Calif.; Eugene Jr. and Nancy Kopetsky, Darboy; David and Jolene Kopetsky, Two Rivers; three daughters and three sons-in-laws: Mary Jo and Dave Tank, Roseville, Calif.: Karen and Greg Schultz, Mesa, Ariz.; Judy and Robert Bialek, Mesa, Ariz.; nine grandchildren: Jake and Cole Bialek, Jason and Eric Tank, Krista and Brandon Kopetsky, Jamie Vanne, Lindsay and Jessica Schultz; two great-granddaughters: Brianna and Baleigh Vanne; one brother and sister-in-law: Harry and Pat Pliszkiewicz, Two Rivers; one sister: Therese Barta, Illinois; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.

Irene was also preceded in death by a brother: Paul Pliszkiewicz; a sister: Rose Cayemberg; and a brother-in-law: Joe Barta.

The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday, Dec. 5, 2003 at St. Peter the Fisherman Parish, Holy Redeemer Site, Two Rivers, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.

The Klein & Stangel Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Two Rivers, is assisting the Kopetsky family with funeral arrangements.

The family would like to thank the entire staff at Hamilton Memorial Home for the care given to Irene and a special thank you to her friend Jan Wachowski.
