Obituary from the Flint Journal, 25th of January 1946: Mrs. Blanche M. Barton, age 53, died Jan. 24, 1946, at the residence, 1380 Washington Ave. Deceased will be at Dodds-Dumanois Co. Death was caused by complications after an illness of 3 weeks. She was born in Swartz Creek, Michigan, May 9, 1892, and had lived in Flint practically all of her life. Was a member of the First Baptist Church and Royal Neighbors. Surviving are: husband, Walter Barton; 5 sons, James, Jack and Donald, all of Flint, Flight Officer Howard of Sherman, Texas; S2c Merle of Great Lakes, Illinois; 2 daughters, Betty at home, Mrs. Donald Friend of Flint; sister Mrs. James McAdams of Flint. Burial in Avondale Cemetery, in Flint.
